My students are pumped about 3D printing! We have been doing it for awhile, using Mr. Lumley's printer across the hall...Thank You Mr Lumley!!! So far we have been using 123D sculpt or 123D creature (both are aps on the iPad). We were printing to a makerbot printer.
Mr. Lumley will be glad to hear that the art department has now received our own printer! We went with the ultimaker 2, after researching and hearing good reviews. I will keep you posted about how it's going after set up. I will also post about our process (how we design and print).
